About the founder, Josée-Odile Tsogo

After a life-changing trip to Cameroon during the pandemic, Josée-Odile Tsogo returned to Montreal with a clear vision: to create a space dedicated to contemporary African art in a city still lacking such a venue. With a ten-year career in technology, she chose to take on a new challenge at the intersection of her Quebec and Cameroonian identities. With Alima Galerie, Josée-Odile hopes to showcase the richness, diversity, and modernity of African art, while building bridges between cultures and generations.
