Winnie Dorothy Songmene

Winnie Dorothé Songmene, a Cameroonian painter and sculptor, blends abstraction and figuration to explore the invisible and inner life. A graduate of the Foumban School of Fine Arts, she trained under Afane Belinga, Hervé Youmbi, and Beya Gilles Gatcha. Her spontaneous practice evokes emotions and pathos that words struggle to express. A recipient of the Cameroonian Cultural Network 2023 award, she has exhibited in Cameroon and internationally.
